Elevator and Conveyor

Elevator and Conveyor

Bucket elevators generally fall into two main categories: straight-column bucket elevators and Z-type stainless steel bucket elevators. Both utilize a circulating hopper system to scoop and vertically transport materials—making them ideal for the automated transfer of granular agricultural products—though Z-type models are the preferred choice for food processing lines.

Straight-Column Bucket Elevator

Features a vertical, single-channel structure designed solely for upward transport, with aligned inlet and outlet ports; suitable for bulk grain transfer where space is not a constraint and breakage rates are not a critical concern. High-speed hopper inversion during discharge can cause skin breakage or loss in fragile items like coffee beans and sesame seeds.

Z-Type Bucket Elevator (Flagship Model)

Utilizes a Z-shaped, three-dimensional configuration that allows for low-level intake, vertical lifting, and horizontal diversion to multiple discharge points; specifically designed for the precision processing lines of coffee, sesame, and legumes.

Bucket elevators and conveyors serve as the core of automated material transfer within complete grain, coffee bean, and sesame processing lines. They facilitate the continuous flow of materials between silos, destoners, hullers, gravity separators, polishers, and color sorters. By replacing manual material handling, they enable a fully enclosed, dust-free, and low-breakage automated feeding process.

Structural Components of the Z-Type Bucket Elevator

Machine Body: Enclosed housing made of 304 food-grade stainless steel with seamless welding to prevent dust and spillage;

Conveying Components: Food-grade PP or stainless steel hoppers paired with a circulating chain drive for smooth operation;

Inlet System: Bottom-mounted vibrating hopper that breaks up clumps to prevent clogging;

Drive System: Variable-frequency motor allowing for stepless flow rate adjustment to match the capacity of upstream and downstream equipment;

Discharge Structure: Supports single-point or dual-point diversion discharge, enabling simultaneous connection to two processing machines;

Base: Equipped with universal casters and leveling support feet for easy relocation within the workshop.

What is the working principle of the bucket elevator?

A chain drives the bottom buckets to scoop up material at a constant speed and lift it steadily along an enclosed path; upon reaching the top, the buckets gently tip over to discharge the load. Throughout the process, the material remains undisturbed inside the buckets—free from compression or violent tumbling—and the empty buckets return to repeat the cycle. The entire operation is fully enclosed, preventing any dust leakage.

What are the product advantages of the bucket elevator?

What are the product advantages of the bucket elevator?

1、Extremely Low Breakage Rate

Gentle, scoop-style conveying ensures that brittle grains—such as coffee beans, white sesame seeds, and mung beans—remain intact without skin breakage or oil leakage, preserving the quality of premium raw materials;

2、High Space Efficiency

Features a Z-shaped configuration that combines vertical lifting and horizontal distribution in a single unit, eliminating the need for additional belt conveyors and saving valuable floor space in smaller processing plants;

3、Fully Enclosed and Dust-Free; Zero Material Waste

The enclosed housing contains lightweight materials like sesame seeds and coffee dust, preventing loss through airborne dispersion and improving the 5、workshop environment;
