The air screen cleaner integrates pneumatic separation and vibrating screen classification to simultaneously remove impurities. On one hand, a centrifugal fan generates a stable vertical airflow, enabling separation based on material specific gravity and terminal velocity; heavy, plump soybean seeds with high terminal velocities remain unaffected by the airflow, whereas lightweight impurities—such as hulls, dust, shriveled beans, and straw fragments—are entrained by the air and conveyed to a dust collection system, ensuring the one-pass removal of light impurities. On the other hand, a vibrating motor drives a multi-layer screen assembly to undergo high-frequency reciprocating motion, classifying particles by size through screens with varying apertures; large soil clods and long straw stalks exceeding the size of standard soybeans are retained by the top screen and discharged, while fine sand, soil, broken cotyledons, and small weed seeds smaller than the soybeans pass through the bottom screen. Standard-sized soybeans remain on the middle screen layer and are continuously conveyed forward. Through the synergistic action of these pneumatic and mechanical screening methods, impurities of varying weights and sizes are removed simultaneously in a single pass, achieving efficient preliminary cleaning of the grain raw material.
